"Family" Is Supposed to be with you...

But then again, not every family has such exalted ideals.

My brother stole something from me, something that should never have been stolen in the first place. He's accumulated about $12,000 of "medical charges" while using MY Social Security number. How he had gotten the SSN? My mother, being a trusting person, gave him the number, thinking it was for something to do with insurance, but then my brother turned that trust to his own wishes and then made these claims that then came to me in the form of bills. I will NOT pay for this set of bills, since frankly, I have no obligation to do so, nor am I compelled to even start paying the bills. I will, however, contest this "claim" and make sure the people who should know (i.e.: the hospital, bill collectors, etc.) that they have gotten the wrong person to badger and annoy.

I know that nothing may come out of this, but it's the only thing I am willing to do on this matter.
