Musicians are taking back what they have from the RIAA...

There have been several musical groups in the last couple weeks that have decided to remove the record labels from their coat-tails.

Radiohead became the first music group to remove their label from representing them. They are allowing their fans to set the price of the music that the fans will buy. In addition to Radiohead, Nine Inch Nails has decided to go ahead and do the same thing... Trent Reznor, frontman of NIN, has always encouraged fans to do what they will with his music (even if they "illegally" download the music).

These four groups are the most current number to shake off their labels

I would like to say that I am excited to see where this leads. I am pretty sure that the above-mentioned musical groups may have some backlash for this (most notably, they may not be invited to award shows like the Grammy's or the Billboard Music Awards or even the American Music Awards). I will say this as well.. good luck, guys. You are treading on a new road that may well shape the future of the music world.
