My view on the death penalty...

I know that the subject is one you wouldn't have expected from me since I haven't really made a point on it, but my view on the death penalty are that it is wrong and that it really isn't a penalty, rather it is an escape for the condemned.

The reason why I said it was an escape for the condemned is that they are getting out of taking full responsibility for their actions. As an example, say a woman kills her child, and confessed to doing it. Should she get the death "penalty" or take full responsibility by serving a long prison sentence. If I were a judge (and I am not a judge), I would give her as long a prison sentence I can without a chance at parole without having her (or anyone else) be a burden on society.

Well, that's pretty much my view on the death penalty.
